Outdoor Led Screens
Outdoor LED screens have become indispensable for event organizers and have become ubiquitous in the modern landscape, transforming the way businesses, events, and advertisers engage with their audiences. From city centers to sports stadiums, to outdoor billboards, to retail stores, car dealerships, to university campuses, to rapid deployment military systems, to architectural enhancements these dynamic outdoor displays have evolved beyond traditional advertising, offering versatility and impact that captivates viewers. The dynamic nature of LED screens captures the attention of pedestrians and converts retail window spaces into captivating marketing tools.
Outdoor LED screens come in various sizes and shapes, offering flexibility in design and installation. This customization allows businesses and event organizers to tailor the displays to their specific needs and spatial constraints.
The ability to update content in real time is a significant advantage of outdoor LED screens. Whether displaying live news feeds, social media updates, or changing promotional content, these screens provide dynamic and up-to-date information.
One of the primary applications of outdoor LED screens is in advertising. These screens act as dynamic billboards, delivering visually striking and engaging content to captivate passersby. Businesses can leverage vibrant colors, high resolutions, and large screen sizes to showcase products, promotions, and brand messaging effectively.
The brightness of the sun is 2500 nits. It is critical that outdoor LED displays have between 4500 nits- 6000 nits or else the sun will wash out the images. Some outdoor permanent billboards have 10,000 nits – 12,000 nits.
In many instances the viewers will be at a distance from the display itself which means that the pixel pitch of a display can be a higher pixel pitch than if viewers were very close to the display. For example if viewers are more than 35’ from the image a P10 would suffice. However the best selling outdoor pixel pitch today is P3.9.
The minimum Ingress Protection (IP) should be IP65 on the front and IP 54 on the back. Vanguard prefers IP 65/65 to ensure that there is no chance of water/rain infiltration. In situations where the display is exposed to salt air/salt water we recommend IP66/66 as the intrusion of salt air/salt water could quickly destroy an outdoor screen and basically destroy the investment made in that outdoor display.
Outdoor LED screens are increasingly being integrated into architectural designs, serving as dynamic elements that enhance the aesthetics of buildings and public spaces. From large-scale building facades to interactive installations, these screens contribute to the visual appeal of urban environments, transforming them into modern and dynamic landscapes.
LED outdoor screens have become vital to the operations of our military. With the current tenuous state of world affairs, the U.S. Military is being called upon more and more to undertake rapid deployments and require LED display systems with cameras and speakers in addition to the display itself. Communication becomes a critical part of ensuring the success of missions. The military must have complete confidence that their entire communication system, of which the LED displays are a vital component, will function perfectly.
The versatility, impact, and durability of outdoor LED screen panels contribute to a positive ROI for businesses and organizations. Whether driving sales through advertising or enhancing the overall experience at events, the benefits translate into tangible returns.
